Delete your Taskli account
You can delete your Taskli account and the data that belongs to it at any time. The fastest way is from inside the app. If you no longer have Taskli installed, or you can't sign in, you can ask us to delete the account instead — you do not need to reinstall the app to do it.
The short version. In the app: Profile → Settings → Delete account, confirm with your password, and everything is removed immediately. Without the app: email ppa.ilksat@ycavirp from the address on the account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
1. Delete it yourself, in the app
This is instant and requires nothing from us. It works the same way on iPhone, iPad and Android:
- Open Taskli and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account.
- Re-enter your password to confirm. We ask for it so that nobody who picks up an unlocked device can wipe your family's account.
The account and its data are deleted from our servers as soon as you confirm. There is no waiting period and no "deactivated" state.
2. Ask us to delete it
Use this if you have already removed the app, changed your device, or cannot sign in for any other reason.
Email ppa.ilksat@ycavirp with the subject "Account deletion request". To let us find the right account, please write from the email address the account is registered to, and include the display name used in the app.
We verify that the request really comes from the account owner before we delete anything — an account holds a whole family's data, so we will not act on an unverified request. We complete verified requests within 30 days, and in practice much sooner. You will get a confirmation by email once the deletion is done.
If the account belongs to a child, the request should come from the parent who created it. A parent can also remove a child directly in the app, without contacting us — see section 4.
3. What gets deleted
Deleting an account removes the personal data tied to it. Concretely:
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Account | Display name, email address, hashed password, and family role are deleted. |
| Tasks & activity | Task history entries, comments, and requests you authored — together with their comments — are deleted. |
| Credits & rewards | Your credit balance, the full credit transaction history, and your reward claims are deleted. |
| Progress | Statistics, streaks and unlocked achievements are deleted. |
| Devices | Push-notification tokens registered for your devices are deleted, so the account can no longer receive notifications. |
| Sessions | Existing sign-ins stop working — there is no account left to sign in to. |
4. What happens to your family
Taskli data is shared inside a family, so what happens to the family depends on who leaves it:
- You are the last parent. The entire family is deleted — every child account, and all tasks, subtasks, comments, rewards, reward claims, credit history, requests, statistics and achievements belonging to it. Nothing is left behind for anyone.
- Another parent remains. Your personal data is deleted, and the family carries on. Tasks and rewards you created are reassigned to a remaining parent so the family's boards keep working, and tasks that were assigned to you become unassigned.
- A child leaves or is removed. The child's personal data is deleted and their assigned tasks become unassigned; the rest of the family is untouched. A parent can do this at any time in the app, under Family.
If you are the only parent, deleting your account deletes your children's accounts too. If you want the family to survive without you, invite another parent first and let them take over.
5. What we keep, and for how long
Deletion is genuine: we remove the records above, we do not merely hide them or mark the account inactive. That includes the usage statistics tied to the account — Taskli collects a small set of first-party usage events (app sessions, which screens are opened, chosen theme and language) which contain no task text, names, or other content you create, and these are deleted along with everything else rather than being left to expire. You can also turn that collection off entirely, at any time, in the app's Settings.
Two things do outlive the account:
- Anonymous aggregate statistics. Counts such as "how many people opened the app on a given day" or "how many chose each theme" are stored as totals only. They contain no names, emails, account identifiers or device identifiers, and nothing in them can be traced back to you or your family, so there is nothing personal left in them to delete.
- Legal obligations. Where the law requires us to retain limited information — for example to resolve a dispute or comply with a lawful request — we keep only what is required, and only for as long as it is required.
We do not sell personal data, we run no advertising, and the app contains no third-party tracking or analytics SDKs, so there are no copies of your data with advertising partners to clean up.
6. Deletion is permanent
Once an account is deleted it cannot be restored, and neither can the data that went with it. We have no undo, no grace period, and no backup we can restore a single family from. If you only want a break from Taskli, simply sign out or remove the app instead — your data stays as you left it.
